Can You Prevent Parkinson’s Disease?
Whether you’re living with Parkinson’s disease or caring for a family member or loved one who has the condition, you’ve likely wondered whether it’s preventable. Despite ongoing research, scientists and doctors have yet to find a way to prevent Parkinson’s disease. So the quick but hard-to-hear answer is no — you can’t prevent Parkinson’s. However, promising research does show that several lifestyle factors might lower the risk of developing this condition.
President Biden Signs the National Plan to End Parkinson’s into Law.
On July 2, President Biden signed the National Plan to End Parkinson’s Act into law. This is the first-ever federal legislation dedicated to ending Parkinson’s disease (PD).

Parkinson’s Exercise Class

This class is specifically designed for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease (PD). In this class we work on exercises to help prevent falls, improve balance, posture, strength, walking ability, cognitive, cardiovascular health, and more. Exercise can help slow down some of the progression of the changes that occur with PD and aging.

Rock Steady Boxing gives people with Parkinson?s Disease hope. The progra m enables people with the disease to fight their illness by providing non-contact boxing-style fitness classes that improve their quality of life. Rock Stead Boxing is an effective physical exercise program to dramatically improve mobility, balance, strength, and flexibility. An assessment is required prior to registration. Class meets twice a week.
