For those of you who are

Newly Diagnosed with Parkinson’s

We want to warmly welcome you to the Hancock County Parkinson’s Network. Whether you are a person newly diagnosed with Parkinson’s or a caregiver supporting a loved one, we are here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

Our mission is to empower individuals affected by Parkinson’s and their caregivers by providing resources, education, and support while raising community awareness about the disease.

This packet has been thoughtfully put together to provide you with valuable resources as you navigate this new chapter. Here, you will find helpful information to guide you through your diagnosis, connect with support services, and find the tools you need to make informed decisions.

I wanted to personally welcome you to the Hancock County Parkinson’s Network. When I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2020, my life took an unexpected turn.

At first, I was overwhelmed by the diagnosis, but over time, I found strength in learning more about the disease, seeking support, and connecting with others who understand the journey.

Starting this nonprofit has allowed me to turn my experience into something positive, and I am committed to ensuring that no one faces this challenge alone. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or supporting a loved one, know that you have a resource in us. We are here to help guide you and provide the support you need every step of the way.

Warmly,
Barb Matheny
